Project description

The main objective of this project is to identify the productive chains that drive the deforestation of the Peruvian Amazon. This process will identify the “commodities” produced linked to these value chains, as well as the corporations that promote them. The purpose is to build a CHAIN ​​OF SUSTAINABLE SUPPLIES on a voluntary basis with global repercussions.

FOCUS

Catalyze actions in deforestation risk management in commodity supply chains from Latin America to China and Europe.

EXPECTED RESULTS

Suppliers of buying companies monitor and manage deforestation risks; and report their progress annually to their customers.
– High impact companies and their suppliers collaborate to reduce risks and opportunities.
– SMEs in the value chain of high impact companies have the ability to meet the requirements of their customers.
– Policy makers are able to mobilize private sector commitments to reduce their impacts in terms of deforestation.
– The private sector most involved in the UNFCCC processes and aware of the opportunities promoted by REDD +
