This Roadmap guides the work of the Public-Private Coalition for sustainable jurisdictions and deforestation-free productive chains in Peru. As such, it establishes the mission, vision and strategic objectives, as well as the approaches and principles of work, the latter being the guide for dialogue and debate, and should be taken into consideration at all times.
The priority of the Coalition is to support and feed with proposals the processes of elaboration of the Regional Strategies for Rural Development Low in Emissions and the application of the National Strategy on Forests and Climate Change in different jurisdictions, as a fundamental element of the fulfillment of the goals of Nationally Determined Contributions and in line with the spirit of the Joint Declaration of Intention Peru – Norway – Germany.
The Coalition seeks international visibility to the work done, in order to attract new actors, especially those multinational companies with serious commitments to reduce deforestation and helping to mobilize more resources to implement actions that achieve impact.
Roadmap that defines the governance of this valuable space and is prepared on the basis of the recognition of the work carried out by the Driving Group in the framework of the Tarapoto Declaration, as well as the participatory process initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, for which reflects in addition to the Tarapoto Declaration, the result of different workshops that have allowed the incorporation of the perspectives of various actors.

The dialogue work initiated by MINAGRI included a series of workshops with each of the groups of actors from the private, public and civil society sectors.
This initiative brings together, voluntarily, national government entities, regional governments and
local, civil society organizations, indigenous peoples organizations, agricultural producer groups and the private sector to boost sustainability.
The expansion of the production of commodities such as wood, soy, palm, coffee, cocoa and livestock, has been the main driver of deforestation in many of the world’s most important forested areas. It is important to have a road map to be able to build solutions that really impact our natural heritage.
